What is delta T?

If I told you that your radiators were losing at least 11 degrees in the temperature of the water going into your radiator, compared to what was coming out of it, would you be happy with that?  Well this is the case with many heating systems and is the reason why it takes longer to heat up your home and maintain a comfortable optimum temperature.

To measure the efficiency of your radiators we use the scientific term Delta T. Delta T is used to measure the difference of temperature between two points. So if the temperature of the water entering the radiator is 52°C and the temperature leaving the radiator is 41°C. Then the efficiency of that the system would be calculated as 11oC Delta T.

With Oxyvent you can have that down to 2oC Delta T – which will mean less boiler cycles, less fuel and better heat output.

The first step to solve any problem is to acknowledge that there is a problem

The following video illustrates what the inside of your radiator looks like when your heating system is on.

From years of experience dealing with inefficient and dysfunctional systems, Tim knew the problems were not going to go away, so he decided to fix them.

He wanted to design a system that could isolate the water coming from the boiler, from the rest of the system, so it could operate independently. Tim was able to do this with a square reservoir design, which created a unique independent blending process for the radiators.

He found that the water temperature entering a radiator usually changes by 7 or 8°C with every boiler cycle. The water inside the radiator also fluctuates in a pulsating manner by 4 to 5°C every 5 seconds.

With Oxyvent, water enters the radiator at 52°C and leaves the radiator at 50°C. The temperature across the complete radiator panel is then a static 51°C.  This indicates that the Oxyvent 2°C Delta T, changes radiators from producing convection heat to radiant heat.

Radiant heat gives you that nice snug feeling of deep intense warmth, similar to a stove or open fire. It is also scientifically proven to improve the comfort factor of your home by 30% and we have thousands of customers to verify this.
